About Me

My Story

Hi, my name is Jasmine Scott, the founder of 914 PLAYS and I’m so happy you’re here!

I am an early childhood educator, toddler mom, and developmental evaluator (for the Early Intervention Program) with over 10 years of experience supporting young children and their families. I hold a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education, which has guided my approach to creating meaningful, developmentally appropriate experiences for toddlers and preschoolers.

I love working directly with parents to celebrate milestones, share insights, and create learning experiences full of joy and discovery. At 914 PLAYS, I bring this expertise into every class, designing playful, sensory-rich environments that encourage imagination, exploration, and connection.

Located in Peekskill, NY, 914 PLAYS offers thoughtfully designed classes for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 1.5-5), from pretend-play kitchens and markets to building stations and sensory exploration. Our goal is simple: to create a space where little ones can thrive, and families can feel supported, inspired, and part of a welcoming community.

Whether your toddler is diving into their first group experience or you are looking for a meaningful weekly activity, our classes are all about celebrating curiosity, connection, and childhood.

My “WHY”

As a mom, educator, and someone who knows how much it means to find your village, I started 914 PLAYS not just to offer play-based programs for little ones, but to create community. While searching for engaging toddler classes nearby, I realized how important it was to have a local space that felt thoughtful, inviting, and developmentally rich.

I wanted to create a place where children in our community could play together, grow together, and build friendships before eventually going to school, while caregivers could feel supported and connected. With my background in Early Childhood Special Education and my heart rooted in motherhood, I designed 914 PLAYS as a space where families can explore, create, and make lasting memories.

Giving back is also part of our mission. I volunteer at a local church food pantry and prioritize supporting nearby small businesses with my family. Building community means lifting one another up, and I’m proud that 914 PLAYS reflects that spirit.

Every caregiver deserves support and connection, and every child deserves enriching experiences that inspire curiosity. That’s why I started 914 PLAYS, and I would love for you and your little one to join us and be part of our community.
