Class Description
914 PLAYS offers a unique approach to early learning through process art, sensory play, and independent play all the while building a community for both parents and children.
We offer an array of classes and programs designed with the whole child in mind and heart. 914 PLAYS is founded on the belief that children are natural born scientists, motivated to learn in a warm and safe environment through exploration, investigation, discovering and solving problems in an organic way.
In a world that is mostly hands off for children, we believe it is their job to touch everything they can get their little fingers on because we know it is essential to their mental development. It is our job to give them a safe place to do so. Our space and activities are inspired by nature and sensory development, and designed to provoke the curiosities of our children.
Sensory Exploration
(Mixed Ages/Siblings 1-5)
60-Minute Playgroup | Max 15 Children
This playgroup is open play is for children and siblings to explore alongside a caregiver. The children are free to explore each station at their own pace and spend as much time as they like wherever they are most engaged.
Our mixed-age playgroups feature a combination of sensory and art activities that fit a weekly theme. This is a hands-on sensory adventure featuring activities such as textured bins, water play, and scented doughs designed to stimulate the senses and support developmental growth. The goal is to spark creativity, problem-solving, and fine motor skills development.
When you arrive at our session, you and your little one can dive straight into play! Our sessions are unstructured, giving your child the freedom to explore, create, and get messy while you connect and play alongside them. With sensory trays, messy play, and craft activities to dive into, there's something for every little artist! We will come together as a group for the guided craft activity.
These playgroups are a chance for parents/caregivers to connect with our littles and each other, while providing entertainment through developmentally beneficial sensory play activities. All materials used are taste safe. And the best part? We handle the setup and cleanup—so you can focus on making magical memories!
