Class Description
914 PLAYS offers a whole-child approach to early learning through pretend play, collaborative art, sensory exploration, and independent play, while also nurturing a strong parent–child community.
We believe pretend play is more than just fun; it is the foundation for language, social, and problem-solving skills. Whether children are stirring in a play kitchen, imagining themselves as explorers, or creating their own stories, they are developing the tools they will carry into school and beyond.
We’re not just messy play. 914 PLAYS combines hands-on sensory experiences with rich opportunities for imaginative play, social connection, and creative expression. Our space and activities are inspired by nature and child development research, designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and support each child’s natural drive to explore.
In a world that often asks children to be hands off, we give them permission to touch, squish, build, pretend, and discover because that is how learning truly happens.
Sensory Open Play
(Mixed Ages 1-5/Siblings)
60-Minute Playgroup | Max 15 Children
Our mixed-age playgroups are designed for children and siblings to explore freely alongside a caregiver. Each session combines open play with sensory-rich and creative invitations that spark curiosity, problem-solving, and fine motor growth. Children are encouraged to move at their own pace, choosing where and how they’d like to play, while caregivers join in the fun and connection.
When you arrive, your little one can dive right into hands-on exploration, whether that’s digging into textured bins, experimenting with water play, squeezing scented doughs, or cozying up with a book in a reading corner. Sessions are intentionally unstructured, giving kids the freedom to create, discover, and get messy, while parents and caregivers enjoy meaningful playtime alongside them.
We’ll come together during each session for a guided craft or collaborative project, and the rest of the time is all about open-ended exploration. Every activity is designed to stimulate the senses, nurture creativity, and support developmental growth. All materials are taste safe. Best of all, we handle the setup and cleanup so you can focus on making magical memories.
What You’ll Find in Our Playgroups
• Sensory play stations with dry materials (including a sandbox where little ones can immerse their whole body)
• A messy play station inspired by the weekly theme
• A pretend play area with rotating props and themes
• A collaborative process art activity to explore together
• A craft project your child can take home

Story time & Sensory Play
(Ages 1-3)
60-Minute Playgroup | Max 15 Children
Touch, squish, giggle—storytime gets messy! Each week begins with an engaging story time and circle time filled with songs, movement, and social connection, before flowing into hands-on sensory exploration, imaginative play, and creative discovery. From splashing in water trays to acting out favorite storybook moments, every activity is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and connection, while your little one is too busy having fun to realize they’re learning.
These playgroups are also a chance for parents and caregivers to connect with their littles and with each other in a warm, welcoming environment. You’ll both enjoy developmentally rich play without the stress, since we provide all taste-safe, non-toxic materials and take care of the setup and cleanup.

Stories, Snacks & Sensory
(Ages 1.5-5)
60-Minute Playgroup | Small Group, Max 10 Children
Stories, Snacks & Sensory is a playful, hands-on class that brings books to life through cooking and sensory exploration!
Each session starts with a themed story to spark imagination and introduce new vocabulary. From there, toddlers will follow simple, age-appropriate steps to help make a snack inspired by the book — think spreading, sprinkling, scooping, or stacking! We end with open-ended sensory play where little ones are free to explore textures, colors, and concepts tied to the week’s theme.
This class supports early literacy, fine motor development, language growth, and social skills — all through joyful, meaningful play.
Ideal for toddlers ages 1.5–5 with a caregiver. Come ready to read, taste, and get a little messy!

Play School Club
(Ages 2-5)
60-Minute Playgroup | Small Group, Max 10 Children
Where play is the curriculum.
Play School Club is a joyful, play-based class designed to gently introduce your child to preschool routines — without the pressure. Each class includes:
A short circle time with stories, songs, and movement
Themed hands-on centers (think: play dough letter mats, counting with pom poms, color sorting, and simple science or art experiments)
A mini snack break and story
Open-ended sensory play and social time
Children will build independence, practice turn-taking, follow simple directions, and explore early learning concepts like letters, numbers, colors, and shapes — all through playful, themed activities that change weekly.
Perfect for ages 2-5 and great for families looking for a “preschool feel” in a warm, playful environment. Songs, stories, snacks, and school-ready skills — all in one class!”
